The Shark AZ1002 Apex is better in most cases than the shark rotator nv752. It boasts the shark’s most advanced features, like anti-hair tangle technology, self-cleaning brush roller system, duo clean floor head, powered lift away, noise reduction technology, and multi-surface cleaning interface. Also, it’s easy to maneuver, demanding less maintenance than the nv752, and delivers superior performance on all surface types. But it is slightly heavier than the nv752.

Shark AZ1002 Apex – 10/10
All average vacuum cleaners can suck debris from hard floors, but the shark apex duo clean upright vacuum does an excellent job of sucking up cat litter, pet hair, stubborn dirt, and fine/larger debris from all hard floor types. The duo, clean floor head system is much more effective in moving larger debris and fine dust to the suction intake. However, it also featured a tangle-free brush roller, known as shark’s ZERO-M technology.
Our first test was picking up pet hair from hardwood floors, and the Shark AZ1002 Apex did it impressively.
Most budget vacuum scatters debris while performing on hard floors, and few models have an individual brush roller On/off switch to prevent scattering. None of these issues we haven’t noticed on the Shark AZ1002. The standard and soft brush roller keep running in hard floor mode. As a result, the vacuum can suck up all types of stubborn dirt and pet hair from hard surfaces effortlessly.
Shark NV752 Rotator – 7/10
The hard floor cleaning performance of the Shark NV752 Rotator was average, and it has an individual hard floor cleaning mode. In the hard floor mode, the brush roller will get turned off, and suction power will increase. This feature is good for vacuuming to loosen dirt and pets’ hair from hard surfaces. There is no scatter-free technology or hard floor sealing stripe at the back of the Shark NV752 Rotator primary cleaning head.
Another thing we noticed on the shark Shark NV752 Rotator is the entrance of the primary cleaning head too limited. In the tests of picking up larger debris from the hard floor, it mostly failed to collect them. According to the overall hard floor cleaning tests, the Shark AZ1002 Apex is an excellent choice if your home is mostly hard flooring.

As a vacuum with a soft-fabric brush roller is effective in cleaning hard surfaces, just like that, a vacuum with a motor-powered bristle brush roll is essential for deep carpet cleaning.

In our carpeted-floor tests, the Shark az1002 has performed Better than the shark nv752. In most cases, the result was similar.
In the Shark az1002, you’ll get a three-stage slider switch that lets you adjust the vacuum environment to the surface types and thickness. When I tested the shark Shark az1002 on thick carpets, most of the time, it got stuck with the surface. After dropping off the suction power with the slider, it works well, and 80% of pet hair, cat litter, and fine/larger debris are clean in a single back-and-forth pass.
Shark NV752 Rotator – 8.8/10
The cleaning performance of the Shark NV752 Rotator was similar to the shark apex. But, the one factor dragging down the Shark NV752 Rotator scores is its inability to suck up vacuumable larger debris. The multi-surface cleaning switch position of the NV752 is near the fingertips, like the apex.

Shark az1002 vs nv752: Which is good for pets and human hair?
The shark Shark az1002 apex performed far better on picking up pet and human hair from all types of flooring.
Though, as the manufacturer claimed, both sharks’ upright vacuum is pet version and comes with pet attachments. But, in cleaning pet and human hair tests, the Shark nv752 has often failed to prevent hair tangling. And its included pet turbo brush is not pet friendly, as its brush roller has no tangle-free features.
On the other hand, the primary cleaning head of the Shark az1002 with the tangle-free feature performed significantly better than the competitor.
