We used the Bissell 2252 and 2254 to clean up area rugs, bare floor, upholstery, pet beds, and stairs in everyday situations. Both Bissell upright vacuums did the jobs effortlessly. There was not a single difference we noticed in their cleaning effectiveness.

BISSELL 2252 or BISSELL 2254 – which one is suitable to clean up the hard floor?
Both Bissell upright vacuum works well on hard floors and has multiple height adjustment settings to suit the cleaning head with surface environments. We tested both models on hard floors keeping the height adjustment knob on bare floor mode. It was sucking up larger, fine debris, chili fleck, and pet hair without scattering them. Both Bissell has SCATTER-FREE TECHNOLOGY to prevent sprinkled debris while sucking up dry dirt and fine debris from hard floors.

You will be noticed that both of the Bissell vacuums have a height adjustment knob. You must select the knob at the lowest settings while running it on low pile carpets and area rugs.
